Garmin Mobile PC software turns
laptops and ultra mobile PCs into powerful navigators. It features the
same easy-to-use “Where to?” and “View map” interface found on Garmin
nüvi® portable navigation devices.
With a few clicks, customers can quickly search for and route to
addresses or points of interest. In addition, users can navigate to
Microsoft® Outlook® contacts stored on a PC or laptop.
For the first time, Garmin Mobile PC is now available bundled with the GPS 10x high-sensitivity GPS receiver with Bluetooth wireless technology. The GPS 10x
receiver boasts wireless communication up to a 30 ft. range and comes
with a rechargeable, removable lithium ion battery for up to 22 hours
of typical use.
Garmin Mobile PC offers much more than traditional trip planning
software. Users can configure a laptop to receive turn-by-turn,
voice-prompted directions to a
destination, similar to Garmin’s traditional portable navigation
devices. If a turn is missed along the way, Garmin Mobile PC will
automatically recalculate the route and get them back on track. Garmin
Mobile PC also offers advanced routing options which allow users to
select specific roads for a trip, avoid geographic areas and auto-sort multiple destinations.
Drivers who want to keep track of where they have been can turn on the
trip log feature and see an electronic bread crumb trail.
In addition, a smart trip odometer automatically records trip data.
Garmin Mobile PC also provides free access to Garmin Online™ services.
